C. S. Lewis once wrote, “We are far too easily pleased.” He wrote that we are like “an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea”. Quotes like these always lead to good reflection.

As I was reading my Bible this morning and after I had read this quote, I began to imagine God the Father. He loves us so much and wants only the best for us. He wants to give us that which would truly satisfy our deepest longings, and that being Himself. That’s where the Gospel message comes in.
